This class hit me hard with the fact that I am in no way keeping up! The biggest skill I need to develope is getting out there and finding new inovations. I know I need to spend a good deal more time exploring the web and talking to others to find out what is developing. I need to give my classes more opportunities to explore and share information via the web - tempered with safety skills.
I think I would like to explore ways to connect my readers so that they might sahre their opions about the books they are reading and learn from others what books they might enjoy. I know that research is making huge changes. I want to teach what is relevant to the future not how we used to do it. Skills now are not so much finding the information as determining the reliablity of the information found.
During the week in class I am not sure I created more than I consumed because I comsumed so much knowledge I was quite over whelmed. I am getting more comfortable with the blogging although I am not sure who would really want to know what I think! I saw lots of possiblities for use of web sites with my classes. My goal this summer is to improve my class cirriculums using my smart board more effectively is a big part of that plan.
My thinking has changed some although I knew I was not getting full use of what is out there I am even more aware that I have touched only the tip of the ice burg so I will push forward!
